Continuous care offers flexible pet-sitting options, allowing clients to customize the duration of care according to their needs. This service is perfect for busy pet owners or those who want to ensure their pets receive attentive care while they are away. Care options include:

  • 2 Hour Care

  • 3 Hour Care

Client Expectations for Communication

  1. Before Service

    • Conduct a meet-and-greet to understand the pet’s needs, behavior, and routine.

    • Discuss any special instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, or specific activities they could like to be facilitated during the booking period.

    • Review access details, including home security and emergency contacts.

  2. During Service

    • Petsitters providing a longer care may want to send an initial message when they arrive to notify the client of their presence. PetPals does not book a check in note for continuous care services, but it is in best practice to check in through the messaging app, Time to Pet

    • Communicate if there are any concerns (e.g., signs of illness or behavior changes), or questions during your time.

    • Maintain a detailed log of activities, including feeding, exercise, and any incidents, with plenty of photos and videos!

  3. After Service

    • Leave a written or digital summary of the day’s care, highlighting completed tasks and the pet’s behavior.

    • Ensure the home is clean and the pet is settled comfortably before leaving.

    • Follow up with the client if necessary to discuss any observations or feedback.
